Showcasing natural hair in a new book

 Hello my natural-haired sisters. We are showcasing natural hairstyles in a new book to let people who are considering transitioning know that natural hair doesn't hinder you: our options are endless, and our hair is beautiful! Anyone interested in participating by showcasing their own hair, please email reclaimingbeauty@yahoo.com. We are looking for short, medium and natural hair styles, and only styles that you have done yourself or with a friend, not by a hair stylist. 

The deadline is September 15th. The email should include at least one picture, first name and last initial, city/ state, hair type, how long you've been natural, and a brief paragraph of whatever you want to share.

When I first went natural, I thought I would never get through the transition process. I've gone from tolerating my hair, to accepting it, to embracing it. Now I would never go back.

If you are selected, we will be sure to let you know approximately a week after the closing of the submission process, and let you know when the book will be available. You will get a copy sent to you if you provide us with the appropriate info at that time. Please feel free to pass this info on to anyone that is natural and may be interested.
